Opposition activist Syarhei Kavalenka faces another imprisonment

Syarhei Kavalenka has informed in a comment to Radio Liberty  that this warning concerns the March 25 episode when he was accused of crossing the road in an inappropriate place. This time, they told Kavalenka that he had sworn at the policemen. According to the lawyer, these two warnings are enough to send the activist to prison again.

Kavalenka says he will try to appeal against these warnings but there's not much hope for the positive result. He recalls that, in 2010, he was sent to the real prison after two warnings.

Euroradio reminds, Syarhei Kavalenka was sentenced to 2 years and a month of imprisonment for hoisting a white-red-white flag on the New Year tree in Vitsebsk.
