European Belarus activist Maksim Vinyarski was arrested in Minsk this morning, the human rights website Viasna reports.

Apparently, police operatives had been waiting for the activist when Vinyarski went out to walk his small puppy. All the four ran up to him and asked why the dog was not wearing a muzzle.

“He will probably stand trial in Minsk's Maskouski Court for walking his puppy without a muzzle,” activist Leanid Kulakou wrote on Facebook.

Another opposition activist Pavel Sevyarynets was detained yesterday and started to serve his 15-day arrest sentence for taking part in the September 8 unauthorized rally.
