Office of European Commission in Minsk – act of Lukashenka’s good will

The Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka has called the decision of the Belarusian authorities to allow opening an office of the European Commission in Minsk an act of good will. The leader of the country noted that the European Commission asked the Belarusian authorities many times to allow it to open its representative office in Minsk. Lukashenka noted that Belarus was not going to compromise.

Activities of this office will be limited. The President also called the decision of Poland to create a TV channel for Belarus “an absolutely stupid and unfriendly step”, reports “Interfax”.
