Minsk “Dynama” stadium is 75 years old

The stadium opened in 1934. Repair works started there three years afterwards. It turned out that there were not enough seats in the stands for mass sports events. It was decided to reconstruct the stadium and its capacity was increased from 8 to 12 thousand viewers. The capital stadium survived three more reconstructions in the Soviet period – the post-war reconstruction, in the 50s and 60s and before a football tournament of the Olympics-80.

The fifth reconstruction was conducted in 1997. Now “Dynama” is waiting for another reconstruction, reports “Minsk Courier”. Specialists are elaborating the strategy of works and are trying to choose a project.
