Minsk to decide whether to suspend flights to Egypt
Minsk will decide whether to suspend flights to Egypt on Monday, November 9. A meeting dedicated to this issue will be held in the Belarusian Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The Russian authorities suspended flights to Egypt on October 6 until the reasons for the A321 crash with 224 people on board are revealed. Belavia did not cancel flights to Egypt and people could go there yesterday. However, the Belarusian MFA recommends that Belarusian citizens ‘avoided travelling to Egypt for the time being’.
The decision to continue flying to Egypt is based on experts’ opinion, Belavia CEO Anatol Husarau said. They have arrived in the country to see whether security measures at airports have been enhanced, BELTA reports.
