Ministry of Justice pronounces warnings to opposition parties

The Belarusian Ministry of Justice has pronounced warnings to six opposition parties. The official reason for it was violation of the law “On political parties”. The Ministry of Justice informed about it. Written warnings have been sent to the opposition party BNF, the social-democratic party “Hramada”, the “Green” party, the social-sports party, the party of People’s consent and the Republican Party.

The Ministry of Justice explained that according to the new edition of the law adopted in 2005, political parties registered in Belarus should have Minsk city and regional affiliates in at least 4 regions of the country.

The Ministry of Justice warned the parties that their activities could be judicially suspended if they ignored the demand.
