Mikalai Autukhovich pleads non-guilty in his last word

The entrepreneurs from Vaukavysk today said their last word at the Supreme Court of Belarus. Mikalai Autukhovich took the first word, reports Belapan. He was talking for two hours and pleaded non-guilty and talked about corruption in the Hrodna region. He said that this trial is the continuation of his persecution since 2003. He also stated that high-ranking officials are interested in his imprisonment.

Former Police Col. Mikhail Kazlou also pronounced his last word today. He accused investigators of having violated wthe country's Criminal Code procedures.

Mikalai Autukhovich, Uladzimer Asipenka and Alexander Laryn are charged with plotting a terror attack. The former police officer is accused of not making an action against the alleged terror attack plan.
