MFA: No information on Belarusians affected by Yolanda typhoon

The Yolanda super typhoon hit the Philippines on November 8. Many areas are still cut from the rest of the world. The Russian Foreign Ministry has already admitted that the destinies of at least 50 Russian tourists remain unknown. There has been no information about the Belarusians who suffered from the typhoon so far, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry claims.

"Fortunately, we have received no information that Belarusians were hurt during the typhoon in the Philippines. We are checking all available sources," says Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Savinykh.

The Yolanda typhoon reached Vietnam on Monday. However, the super typhoon is now classified as the first category storm. As Euroradio informed before, over 600 thousand people were evacuated from Vietnam shores to the central part of the country.
