Maksim Vinyarski to stand trial today

Activist of the European Belarus Maksim Vinyarski will stand trial on May 20. He was detained near Smalyavichy District police office on May 15. He wanted to meet activist Leanid Kulakou who had just served his 7-day sentence for a picket near the Mound of Glory.

Maksim asked the policemen why they were taking Kulakou to the railway station and preventing him from meeting his friends. Vinyarski was detained for it.

The policemen checked whether Vinyarski had drunk alcohol but found no traces of it in his blood test. As a result, they wrote in their report: “He insulted an official on duty.”

Vinyarski was let off after that.
