Lyabedzka suggests that Attorney General Vasilevich should deal with “burning issue”

The head of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka has sent an appeal to the Belarusian Attorney General Ryhor Vasilevich. He is asking to conduct an investigation of supplies of Belarusian weapons to Columbian insurgents.

Let us remind you that a Spanish newspaper “El Pais” informed that Venezuela was going to supply weapons to Columbian insurgents from the Revolutionary Armed Forces with the help of Belarus on May 10.

The edition refers to its own sources in the Columbian government. It was said that a secret document had been found in the PC of one of the leaders of insurgents informing that “the possibility of weapon supplies had been discussed with the Belarusian friend”. "Interpol" has confirmed that the document was real.

This is what Anatol Lyabedzka said in his interview with ERB:

"I do trust Interpol experts. I think the Belarusian trace is evident there… It is an issue of the image, of the corruption and of the absence of control of the authorities. This is the issue the United Democratic Forces are going to make the main idea of their election campaign that will take place in Belarus”.

Lyabedzka says he does not expect Vasilevich to conduct an impartial investigation but “it is very important to mention this issue”. The politician is going to inform people about the reply of the Attorney General about “the burning issue” in his election campaign.
