Lyabedzka: Party meeting turns to a political event out of a regular issue

The United Civil Party is not able to find an office to conduct the 9th meeting. The leader of the party Anatol Lyabedzka says they have already got more than 20 refusals from companies of different patterns of ownership and have not been able to rent any office. Lyabedzka: "It proves that a meeting of an opposition political structure is turning into a political event out of a regular issue”.

Anatol Lyabedzka has informed that the meeting of the UCP will take place on April 20 anyway despite all the difficulties in finding an office for it. It may take place in Kastrychnitskaya Square.

Lyabedzka: "We are not going to change the date. If we do not get permission, we will have to organize an event that will be a meeting and a protest action at the same time”.

A.Lyabedzka noted that he would suggest organizing the meeting in Kastrychnitskaya Square. He also said that the party was ready for the meeting and that portback election meetings and conferences would take place in the remaining two regions at the weekend. 230 representatives of the UCP are supposed to take part in the meeting.

Elaboration of a new party strategy and messages to Belarus and its citizens will be the main issues on the agenda. Moreover, staff issues concerning the administration of the party will also be discussed.
