Lukashenka speaks Belarusian in public (video)
The state leader read out his speech, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from the German-fascist invaders, in Belarusian.
“The Belarusians, like no other nation, appreciate the opportunity to live without fear and raise their children," said Belarusian leader Alyaksandr Lukashenka at the festive meeting dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the country's liberation from the German-fascist invaders and the Independence Day of Belarus.
“Anyone who makes an attempt at the nation's unity is an enemy for Belarus," he added.
Lukashenka makes speeches in Belarusian quite rarely. Usually, he addresses to his countrymen in Russian.
