Lukashenka, Putin may meet on 21 Sep

The meeting between Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin will preliminary take place not 'in the near future' but on 21 September, according to a phone conversation between the presidents on Thursday, reports BELTA stressing the phone talk was initiatived by the Russian side.

Lukashenka and Putin have confirmed their earlier plans to meet along with the heads of government: the prime-ministers, vice prime-ministers in charge of agriculture and energy as well as finance ministers.

The Belarus and Russia leaders recently met at the Black Sea resort of Sochi. After the meeting, President Lukashenka told Belarus state television that yet another meeting was to take place soon.
