Lukashenka: I strongly object to errecting a monument to the country's first President
The Belarus leader on Tuesday participated in a ceremony to launch the construction of a residential complex for country's science and intellectual elite
Alyaksandr lukashenka says he objects to monuments errected to politicians. He doesn't want his own monument either:
"I strongly object to errecting a monument to the country's first President," he says. However, there have been many offers and even attempts, allegedly, Lukashenka notes.
He reckons that monuments to politicians and state figures should be "in people's minds", in the first place.
