Lukashenka approves of opening of European Commission representative office in Minsk

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has approved of signing an agreement between Belarus and the European Commission on creation, privileges and immunity of a representative office of the European Commission in Minsk in his order.
The press service of the Belarusian President reports that the deputy Minister of Foreign Affaires Valery Varanetski is authorized to sign the agreement.

Let us remind you that the European Commission enquired about the possibility of opening its representative office in Minsk in 2005. Lukashenka approved the project of agreement on creation of the EC office in his decree on October 19, 2007. The project was ratified in Minsk on December 5.
