Lithuania gets normal amount of Russian gas

Lithuania is still getting the normal amount of Russian gas despite the fact that Russia has limited gas supplies to Belarus. The Minister of Energy Arvidas Sekmokas has informed the DELFI agency about it. According to him, The European Commission has been informed about the gas transit situation and different variants are being considered in case there are any problems with gas supplies to Lithuania. One of the ways out is gas supplies across Latvia.

The Minister has claimed that the situation is causing anxiety but the supplies correspond to the agreement. That is why Lithuania does not think that any measures have to be taken. He has reminded about the signed long-term agreements on gas supplies. Violating the agreements will lead to a certain legal appraisal.
