Kyiv protesters disperse police with tear gas (video online)

After the demonstration at the European Square the protesters adopted a resolution 'to protest till the victory' and then proceeded to the cabinet of ministers. They were met by several hundred police commanders from 'Berkut' detachment. The demonstrators crowded the whole square near the cabinet of ministers, they shouted out 'Shame!' and sang the Ukrainian national anthem.



After that there started clashed between the protesters and the police. Riot policemen used tear gas and batons, so the protesters also used tear gas and threw firecrackers. The policemen put on the gas masks, UNIAN informs.



The protesters hoisted the red-and-black flag and the EU flag near the cabinet of ministers, the police did not interfere.



Then the participants of the action started leaving, any seeming activity of both the demonstrators and the police was over.

The protest actions started in Ukraine when the government decided to postpone signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union on November 21. The demonstrations are held not only in Kyiv but in many other Ukrainian cities. Sometimes they are accompanied with clashes with the police.
