KGB major suspected of organization of explosions in Vitsebsk

A Vitsebsk Region KGB member, Major Andrei Dzyamidau, is suspected of having organized explosions in Vitsebsk in 2005. He has been kept in Minsk confinement cell for more than two months. It became known from the letter of the mother of Major Dzyamidau posted on the web site “Vitsebsk People’s News”.

She informs that the criminal case was started by the General Office of Public Prosecutor. The flats of the major’s relatives were searched but nothing has been found yet. Neither relatives nor the mother are allowed to meet the suspect. Even correspondence is forbidden.

The group of investigators has not managed to investigate the case in time so the term of the major’s detention was prolonged for two months.

By the way, Major Andrei Dzyamidau had been investigating those explosions before he was accused of their organization.
