KGB chief mocks at Belarus opposition members

Opposition is not a threat to the Belarusian regime. It doesn't strive for power, and it lives thanks to foreign grants. Moreover, it decieves pro-democracy citizens of this country, Interfax quotes Belarus's KGB chairman Yury Zhadobin as saying at a news conference on December 19 in Minsk. "The list of so called destructive elements comprises only 1767 persons. We know all of them by name and face. They are not growing in numbers," Zhadobin said.
