The campaign leaflets printed by the Sklou district election commission contain no mention of Ryhor Kastusyou’s leadership in the Belarusian Popular Front Party. The candidate is running for a seat on the Mahilou Region Council in this year's local elections.

Other important facts are also missing, namely the fact that Ryhor Kastusyou studied local self-government in European countries, that he is authored articles on economic reforms, and that his place of residence is not indicated.

As far as other candidates are concerned, there is much more information about them, Kastusyou told Radio Liberty. The politician brought all the required biographical information to the election commission the day after his registration and officials made no remarks or additional requests.

His biography was abridged on purpose, Kastusyou reckons, to depreciate his role as a candidate. The politician lodged complaints to the Sklou district electoral commission and the Mahilou Region commission. He also filed complaints with the Central Election Commission and the Prosecutor General’s Office on February 10.
