Kaliakin to speak at European Left congress in Paris

The delegation of the Belarusian left Party "Fair World" goes to Paris. 10 representatives (5 men and 5 women) will participate in the congress of the European Left on December 4-5.

The member of the party's presidium Siarhej Vazniak has explained to Euroradio, that European Left is a sort of an umbrella organization, which unites EU's left-wing and ecological parties. There are only two members of this structure - the Belarusian left party "Fair World" and the Communist Party of Moldova - outside the European Union.

It will be the first time the Belarusian lefts will participate in such congress, as they have been accepted to the organization only about a year ago.

Vazniak: "The idea of the congress is as follows: to suggest the idea of a socialistic Europe istead of the liberal one which exists now. I mean, not to solve financial and economical difficulties for the cost of workers in the conditions of the crisis, as right-wing parties which are in power in many European countries do... We, the left parties of Europe, will approve the concept of socialistic Europe at this congress".

The Chairman of the Belarusian Left Party "Fair World" Siarhej Kaliakin is to speak at the congress.
