Kabyakou: Belarus and Russia to continue gas negotiations

Belarus and Russia have not reached an agreement on gas prices and will continue the dialogue, Belarusian PM Andrei Kabyakou told journalists at the plenary session of the Regions Forum of Belarus and Russia on June 8.

"We have not made any decisions but we will continue the dialogue,” BELTA quotes the Prime Minister.

Kabyakou mentioned the necessity of discussing the price for Russian gas in Belarus at the meeting of the Belarusian and Russian Presidents in Minsk on Wednesday.

Belarus insists on decreasing the Russian gas price by half. Meanwhile, Gazprom expects to get paid according to the old price list and is saying that Belarus owes it more than 200 million dollars.
