Inundation in Istanbul, more than 30 victims

The heaviest inundation registered in the last 80 years has hit a Turkish province of Istanbul. Dozens of people have died and huge losses have been caused, reports “German Wave”. A number of districts in Istanbul province and the megapolis are covered by a meter high layer of water and mud. A few most loaded highways have been blocked. Drivers caught by the mud avalanche that had come from the mountains had to wait for rescuers on the roofs of their cars.

Weather forecasters say that the floods will continue for the next few days.
