Human rights activists fined for photos with Ukrainian flag

The Hrodna police announced that taking pictures with Belarusian and Ukrainian flags was an unauthorized mass action, Radio Liberty reports.

Hrodna human rights activists photographed with the flags in several historical sites in the city on March 25. They uploaded the images on the Internet. That way, the men decided to mark the Freedom Day and express their solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

They were detained and reports were drawn against them. They stood trials on April 3.
