Team Belarus on February 19 was defeated by Sweden 2:4 at the Olympics ice hockey tournament in Vancouver. The fate of the match was resolved in the first period when Swedes scored twice. The Belarusians tried to come back into the game in the second period and in the third when Belarus was trailing by one goal only.
But 10 seconds from time, Alfredsson restored a two-point lead. The Swedish forward said after the match "in the second period Belarusians felt confident and started attacking in full swing trying to level the score", reports Sports.ru.
Belarus are yet to play Germany on February 21 in the group stage of the tournament.
