Hockey championship participants’ flags greeted in Minsk (video)
The festive ceremony has been held in Minsk today.
PM Mihail Myasnikovich has made a speech there. Hockey is popular in our country, Belarusians love sports and it is a norm for many young people, he noted.
The hockey championship will begin on May 9. Four matches will be played on the first day: Switzerland – Russia (Minsk Arena, 4.45 p.m.), France – Canada (Chyzhouka Arena 4.45 p.m.), Belarus – USA (Minsk Arena, 8.45 p.m.) and Slovakia – the Czech Republic (Chyzhouka Arena, 8.45 p.m.). Alyaksandr Lukashenka will take part in the festive opening ceremony before the match of Belarus national team and Americans.
