Former MP Skrabets employed as a janitor

Former MP Syarhei Skrabets has found a job of a janitor. He receives Br180,000 ($90) for removing litter from the streets of Valozhyn. He was forced to do so, because no employer was ready to offer him a job.
“They sized property from my brother, myself and my father. I can't get employed, because state-owned companies reject my applications because of fear while private firms don't want any troubles with tax inspectors", Skrabets said.

According to the politician, he had requested the parliament and the prime minister to provide a job for a former member of parliament, but no answer would be issued.

Meanwhile, another opposition member and a member of the 12th Supreme Soviet of Belarus, Syarhei Antonchyk, works as a loader. He is facing the similar problems in terms of employment because of his "bad" political biography.
