Flase bomb alarms at train stations in Homel and Mahilyow

The operation of the railway terminal in Homel was paralized after a 25-year-old female local resident called the police, saying there was a bomb in the station. The call was received by the police at 0049 on September 5. An unknown woman said that the railway station and the bus station in Homel as well as a bus station in Mahilyow were mined. But demolition squads found no explosives, reports Belapan news agency. 70 people were evacuated from the railway station. The Kiev-Minsk train was held for 48 minutes, while the building of the terminal was sealed off. The operation of the station resumed at 0230.

The police caught the woman who had earlier been convicted for the similar crime (false terror alarm) in 2009. She was arrested at 0050 near a public phone booth in Homel.
