First regional Holodomor museum is created in Ukraine
The first regional 1932-33 Holodomor museum has been created in Hmelnitskaya Region of Ukraine. The President of the country Victor Yushchenko cut a symbolic ribbon.
The museum can be found in Medzhiboshe, Lechivski District. The exposition is organized in a hall of the local fortress.
According to “Ukrinform”, the exposition consists of more than a thousand original documents and copies, photos, domestic and cult items of that time collected from all districts of the region.
