Fines for compulsory assignment rejection double

Fines for graduates' refusal to take up their compulsory assignment on the completion of universities doubled in the last two years to about 40 million rubels. It would be cheaper for students to pay a tuition fee during studies.
For instance, the Applied Mathematics and Information Technology Faculty of Belarusian State University charges graduates 34 million rubels, saying that the amount is equivalent to the cost of their five-year education. The same faculty estimated education costs at 17 million rubels two years before.
