European Union to donate 5 million Euro to Belarus for ecological project
United Nations Development Programme and the European Union will sign an agreement on donating more than 5 million Euro for a new environmental project, on October 25. This was informed by the press-center of the EU delegation to Belarus. The project will be realised within 3 years in cooperation with the Ministry of Nature of Belarus. The project is to finance development of normative base in Belarus in the sphere of water resourses management, preserving of biological variety, ecological certification etc. Apart from that, pilot projects in the sphere of solid domestic waste will also be supported. The project is aimed at increasing of environmental protection awareness in the society.
