European Commission grants 200 scholarships for Belarusian students

BelaPAN reports the aim of the scholarship program is " to strengthen the foundation of the democratic development of the Belarusian society , giving a generation of young Belarusians access to higher education without an ideological component, in accordance with the academic standards of the international level ."



It is assumed that the participants of the scholarship program will return to Belarus after its completion and become active citizens and leaders who can contribute to the modernization of the country.



The program will provide a minimum of 200 scholarships to obtain a bachelor's degree or master's degree in universities throughout Europe. Potential candidates can apply from 15 November to 6 December 2013 on the site www.essyb.eu. Further details of the program are also available on the website.
