Entrepreneurs ask Lukashenka to prevent destruction of Slonim mini-market

A civil association “Prospect” has sent an appeal to the Belarusian leader asking to prevent the liquidation of Slonim mini-market.

Slonim District Executive Committee warned about the liquidation of “Marakanda” mini-market situated in Brest Street in May. All the interested were advised to move to the market situated in Tapoleva Street.

The main reason for the liquidation of the market more then 50 people work in is the fact that it is situated near a middle-pressure gas pipe-line and that trade relations create obstacles for the normal exploitation of the pipe-line. At the same time, the authors of the appeal note that there is a grocery store and blocks of flats near the gas pipe-line and it does not seem that they are going to be liquidated too.
