Elections: 276 candidates registered or twice as less as in 2004
A total of 276 candidates to run for MP seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections have been registered, while 89 nominees were denied registration, CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna today told reporters in Minsk.
According to preliminary reports, the list of the registered candidates includes 76 representatives of the opposition United Pro-Democracy Forces.
