European Humanities University has suspended professor Siarhei Sialetski, following accusations of sexual harassment. Suspension was intially effective until October 13, but the decision can be extended, reports the press service of the EHU.

The university created a special commission to collect and analyze the information. Based on its findings, the EHU promises to take "further internal procedures". It is also planned to attract independent experts "as part of a separate commission that will investigate the circumstances that served as the basis for the publications and submit their report to the special commission of the EHU."

The scandal erupted in September. Following accusations from female students, the CreateCulture cultural space in Vilnius canceled the exhibition of the professor and artist. Sialetski said he was shocked by what had happened.
