96.4% of citizens voted early at the polling station No 35 in Minsk's Maskouski District, the human rights website Viasna reports. The polling station is located on a Belarus State University campus also known as ‘student village.’

Students started voting in big groups on the first day of the early vote and even had to queue up at some point, election observer Zmitser Salauyeu said.

High turnout has also been registered at the polling station No36 of the same (Dziarzynsk) constituency. It is located in the dormitory No1 of Minsk State Linguistic University. The turnout reached 74.1% during five days of the early vote there.

Volha Tsesakova, cultural organizer of BSU hostels, is running for a seat in the constituency No 23. She was already involved in an election scandal as students were urged on social media to vote for her.
