Deputy Minister of Sport: $100 exit fee may reduce queues at border
The Ministry of Sport “welcomes anything that can help reduce queues at the border”.
Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism Cheslau Shulha has commented on Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s initiative at a press conference in Minsk.
Cheslau Shulha: “It may help reduce queues at the border. We welcome any measures aimed at it. If shop tourists are gone, there will be an influx of tourists from Western Europe.”
Thus, one more argument in favour of “$100 per head” has been found.
The exit fee for Belarusians going abroad may be introduced in October, vice PM Pyotr Prakapovich announced on September 11. The issue is under consideration now.
