Czech Senators: Disunity of candidates plays for Lukashenka

Disunity of the opposition candidates is to the advantage of the current President. The Chair of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Czech Parliament David Vodrážka  and his Deputy Jan Hamáček said that in Minsk.
At the same time they noted it was a voluntary decision of each candidate so no one should comment whether it was good or bad. The Czech MPs paid special attention to the existence of the criminal article for activity on behalf of an unregistered organization. They also noted the complexity of political parties' and public associations' registration, the pre-term vote problem, and minor representation of the opposition in the election commissions.

"In Czech Republic, political parties are guaranteed they can have their representatives in the commissions, according to legislation. If the candidates running for a certain position are not afraid and claim there are democratic elections, then the opposition members should make a bigger representation in the commissions"
, – stated David Vodrážka .

Czech MPs met with Belarusian opposition politicians, civil activists, human rights activists, journalists and deputies during their visit to Belarus on November 17-19.
