Criminal boss from Belarus detained near Moscow

A criminal boss from Belarus has been detained in Moscow District. 53-year-old Mikalai Saldatsenka (nickname – “Soldier”) was searched by the International Police for banditry.
He was hiding in Dmitrovkii District where he rented a house. The detention was performed by Russian and Belarusian officers of the criminal investigation department. The issue of his extradition to Belarus is being discussed now, reports Gazeta.ru.

Saldatsenka lived in Homel in the 1990s. He headed a big criminal grouping that was working in Belarus and Russia.

He was detained in Bryansk District in 1996. It turned out that Saldatsenka was driving a Mercedes-300 (the President of Russia Boris Yeltsin has such a car at that time) without documents.

The car belonged to some high-rank official from Moscow and the criminal boss had his letter of attorney. As a result, people of consequence managed to release Saldatsenka. After he had started hiding, there were rumours he had been shot by a killer.
