Couple in Minsk found dead after warming up car in closed garage

The bodies of a five-year university student and his girlfriend were found in a car in a Minsk garage, reports the Interfax news agency. The couple is believed to have died from CO suffocation, according to the preliminary reports.
The Pershamayski district prosecutor's office is carrying out investigation into this tragedy. Forensic doctors said up to ten similar deaths are registered annually during the winter season.

In most cases, drivers get suffocated when warming up their cars in garages with no ventilation. Death from inhaling a concentrated CO can occur within 10 minutes.
