CIS short-term election observers arrive in Belarus

Short-term election observers from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) today started to arrive ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections, scheduled for September 28 in Belarus.
According to the interim report of the mission released on September 24, 40 international observers from the CIS are currently monitoring the electoral process in Belarus. A total of over 400 international observers are accredited for the elections, reports Belapan
