Chinese leader Xi Jinping arrives in Belarus (video)

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping arrived in Belarus on May 10. He is paying a state visit to our country for the first time in 14 years.

The Chinese leader arrived from Moscow where he had attended the parade dated for the 70th anniversary of the Victory. Xi Jinping had already met Alyaksandr Lukashenka in Moscow.

The two state leaders will officially meet in the Independence Palace. The Belarus-China Economic Forum will be opened in Minsk hotel Beijing on May 11. The Chinese President will take part in the ceremony, BelaPAN notes. Xi Jinping will also visit the Museum of the Great Patriotic War on the same day. He will head for Smalyavichy District of Minsk Province to visit the construction site of the Belarusian-Chinese industrial park Huge Stone on May 12.

The agreement on Belarus-China friendship and cooperation and declaration on further development of bilateral relations and strategic partnership are to be signed during the visit. The state leaders are also planning to sign a number of agreements on cooperation in trade, economy, customs, education and cultural spheres.

Belarus is proud to have good relations with China, Lukashenka told Xinhua News Agency on May 4.
