CEC to punish Rymasheuski and Statkevich with a warning

The Central Election Commission will not withdraw Vital Rymasheuski and Mikalaj Statkevich off the presidential race for organization of a non-sanctioned action "Get Out!" at Kastrychnitskaya Square on November 24. The CEC Chairperson Lidzia Yarmoshyna has told ERB about this.
Yarmoshyna: "We are planning to consider this at our nearest session. Theoretically, the organizers are likely to be warned. If they conduct any other violation of the electoral legislation in future, it will be considered as systematical law breaking and give grounds for abolishment of their registration".

The CEC session at which it is planned to pronounce the warning to Rymasheuski and Statkevich is scheduled on November 30. As for Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, who also attended the action and even made a speech to the people, the CEC will implement no sanctions on him, said Yarmoshyna. She stated Rymasheuski and Statkevich were the ones who had organized the action and disobeyed the prohibition to conduct meetings with voters at Kastrychnitskaya Square.
