Camp to appear near Hrodna
The camp “Hrodna fortezza” will be opened several kilometers from Hrodna, on the bank of the Neman, on June 30. Its purpose is drawing attention of the public, first of all of Hrodna dwellers, to the issue of destruction of the historic centre of Hrodna. Local activists and people from different regions who participated in the defense of the city in June will come to the camp. Franak Vyachorka explains what they are going to do:
“They will set up tents and will stay there all the time. They will also be going to the city during the daytime to organize actions and performances”.
The opening of the camp will start with the celebration of Kupalle. The organizers hope that there will be about 1.5 thousand participants. Those who will stay in the camp will be protecting the historic centre of Hrodna for two weeks.
