Bulgaria military plant blast: 15 victims
A few heavy blasts have been heard at the explosives plant in Gorni Lom.
Mines from Greece were being deactivated at the plant when the tragedy occurred, Euronews reports. The authorities have reported 15 workers dead.
The plant has nearly burn down, the police say. Not a single building has remained. The police have blocked the area. No survivors have been noticed on the spot.
Three workers have been injured. They were near the gate at the moment of the explosion. All of them have been taken to hospital. It is not the first incident at the plant: 6 people died in explosions there in 2007 and 2010.
