BSU to educate mobile app developers, BSUIR – business analysts

Euroradio has found out what universities will offer before the approaching entrance campaign.

“We are opening two majors – ‘web development and Internet technologies’ and ‘mathematical mobile app development’. This major could be taken as an MA course last year. The correspondence course intake will be reduced from 400 to 350 students,” the BSU entrance commission said.

The free tuition intake will not be reduced in BSU. However, the paid tuition intake will decrease by 177 people!

Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics will start teaching IT business analysts. The major will be opened on the basis of the research conducted in America.

“Information systems and technologies in business management will be our new major. Our American partners have conducted a research and found out that such specialists will be in demand. Our graduates will be qualified as developers and business analysts,” the university told Euroradio.

The free tuition intake will not be reduced in BSUIR this year.

“We add new majors every year, there is nothing special about it,” The National Technical University replied. The paid tuition intake has been reduced there and the free tuition intake has not changed.

Mahilyou University’s new major will be Physics and Informatics. No other majors will be added this year.

“The major Physics and Informatics has appeared. However, the intake has been reduced due to the demographic dip,” the entrance commission said.

The number of students who will study informatics this year will be halved.

“The universities have reduced the paid tuition intake. We will be able to calculate it after the entrance campaign,” the Ministry of Education replied.

Over 105 thousand entrants will take the centralized tests this year. It is 12 thousands less than last year.
