Brest University does not allow conducting Polish dictation

A Polish dictation organized by a civil association "Polska Macierz Szkolna" was nearly ruined in Brest. At the moment the dictation is being written in the office of the General Consulate of Poland in Brest. The action had been planned to take place in Brest State University but the university administration informed the organizers that it was impossible because testing was going to take place at the university on Sunday. The information became available of Friday evening.

Not all those who were going to write the dictation arrived at the General Consulate. According to representatives of “Polska Macierz Szkolna”, the university administration has forbidden students to take part in the event.

The consul general in Brest Yaraslau Ksyonzhek is indignant about it. He informed that “Polska Macierz Szkolna” signed an agreement about renting an office at the university and even paid for it. He stressed that the text of the dictation had nothing to do with politics.

Yaraslau Ksyonzhek noted that he was going to send a letter about it to the Polish Ambassador to Belarus and was preparing for a talk with the rector of the university he used to have partnership relations with.
