Book about Ivan Lutsevich published in Minsk

The Belarusian Book Collection publishing house has released a book titled "About Ivan Lutskevich: Memories and Testimonies". The book is devoted to Ivan Lutsevich (1881-1919), a renowned Belarusian statesman and one of the Belarusian Revival activists in the early 20th century.

Historian and politician Anatol Sidarevic who authored the book said in an interview with the European Radio for Belarus as follows:

“Ivan Lutsevich was an idealist and a big fan of the Belarusian cause. It is not easy to find the people like him today..."

During the Soviet times, the name of Ivan Lutsevich, one of the founding fathers of the Belarusian People's Republic, could not be mentioned. Anatol Sidarevich says with sadness that the situation has not changed up to now.

“You know, Ivan Lutsevich is of no interest to anyone. The current state which "has grown on his shoulders" is not interested in him. "Independent community" does not need him, either.

That's why, it is just a private initiative. This edition is only 200 copies".
