Belarusians will have to buy cheaper tours in neighbouring countries

Belarusian travel agencies claim that the cost of exotic tours has not decreased this year. On the contrary, the prices have gone up before the holiday season. Surprisingly, the crisis is to blame for it.
The holiday season is approaching and ERB has decided to find out whether exotic tours have become cheaper this year. We have compared their cost in three countries: Lithuania, Poland and Belarus.

A Lithuanian travel agency “RM-Travel” has informed that the prices have not changed because of the crisis:

Employee of “RM-Travel”: “The prices are the same as last year. 3 or 4 stars, Turkey, Alanya. It is about 535 dollars for 7 days, all included”.

You can also go to Egypt and Tunis for 500 dollars. The sum includes a week in a 3 or 4-star hotel, meals and other things.

Polish travel agencies have also confirmed that the prices have not changed in comparison with the past year. It is possible to spend 7 or 8 days in a 4-star hotel in Egypt or Turkey for 500 dollars. The cheapest exotic country is Tunis. It is possible to buy an all-included tour for 330 dollars at the last moment.

Employee of Alfa Star: “Let’s look at Tunis, 999 zlotys for an adult (it is 330 dollars - ERB) in “Garden Beach” hotel.

However, Belarusian travel agencies claim that the prices have not decreased this year. On the contrary, they have increased. The crisis is to blame for it. A travel agency “DeluxTravel” claims that a tour to a not very good Turkish hotel will cost 700 dollars by the end of the season.

Employee of “DeluxTravel”: “Of course, you can go for 690 dollars for 8 days on August 29. It will be Kemer, Turkey. However, to tell you the truth, the hotel is not very good”.

It can be cheaper if you buy one tour for two persons. Then each of you will have to pay 600 dollars for 7 days in a 3-star Turkish hotel. You can fly from Moscow if you want to save more:

Employee of “DeluxTravel”: “The both of you can set off from Moscow for 830 dollars for 8 days in a 4-star hotel. The same 8 days in that hotel will cost 1030 dollars in Minsk”.

Prices for better hotels keep increasing. It turns out, that Belarusians wishing to buy cheaper tours this year will have to do it in the neighbouring countries. By the way, Polish and Lithuanian travel agencies see no problem in cooperation with Belarusian citizens”.
