Belarusian police quick at finding independent journalist’s new flat

Some report had been lodged against him. The policeman quickly found his newly rented flat, Yauhen Skrabets told Euroradio.

Skrabets: "I changed flats not long ago and had not really told anyone about it. Only my parents and some friends knew it. It was strange to see two policemen visiting me in the new flat two days after I had moved in. One of them said that he was a district police officer. They summoned me to Lenin District Department of the Interior – I will have to give some explanations there.”

The visit is connected with the Chernobyl Way manifestation appointed for April 26 in Minsk, Yauhen Skrabets thinks. The journalist was going to cover the action.
